The main attraction of our dawn til dusk festival is the Parade of Bands Competition. Carnival goers line the streets to cheer on the mas bands as they compete to claim the title of “Windy City Carnival Midwest Band of the Year”. This is the highest and most coveted honor that can be earned at Windy City Carnival. Though bragging rights are high currency, the grand prize money takes the fun to a whole new level. Band of The Year
Art Meets Rhythm
As the fifth largest North American city, Chicago is home to a diverse population. It is a thriving hub for music and culture and is the proud home to President Barack Obama. We have met with city and community leaders to position the Windy City Carnival as a key celebration of culture and cuisines. Windy City Carnival will take place on Saturday August 18, 2018, with a traditional parade of bands. We invite you to join in the competition for the coveted crown of “Band of the Year”!Register Your Band
